Sport and Solidarity: Team Efor Takes On Toronto and Mulhouse

Last weekend, our teams laced up their running shoes, in Canada and in France alike, for two inspiring solidarity races in support of cancer research.

Our Toronto colleagues took part in the Terry Fox Run, held at Upper Canada College, in support of cancer research.

The run honors Terry Fox, a young Canadian who, in 1980, after losing a leg to cancer, set out to run across Canada from east to west — covering the equivalent of a marathon every day — to raise funds for cancer research. Forty-six years later, his Marathon of Hope remains a powerful symbol of courage that continues to inspire and mobilize an entire country.

A true highlight of the day for the Efor team: meeting Darrell Fox, Terry’s brother. For every participant, Efor made a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation — a concrete way to extend the team’s commitment beyond the race itself.

That same day, on the other side of the Atlantic, Team Efor France Great East proudly took part in Les Mulhousiennes, a can’t-miss event in the region that brings together 10,000 runners and walkers each year in the streets of Mulhouse, France all united around one cause: the fight against breast cancer.

Since its creation 12 years ago, Les Mulhousiennes has raised more than €870,000 to fund concrete, local cancer-related initiatives — supporting research and helping improve the daily lives of patients and their loved ones — bringing together a total of 80,000 participants along the way.

It was a great morning full of energy and good spirits, driven by the whole team’s enthusiasm and commitment. A chance for Efor to play its part, at its own scale, in this collective momentum.

Two Teams, Two Events, One Shared Energy

In Toronto and in Mulhouse alike, our colleagues shared far more than a sporting moment: energy, good humor, and above all a common drive to mobilize for a cause that concerns us all.
